Mens Ministry

What does this ministry/group do?

The men’s ministry is a group of men united in growing in their faith through informal study of mass readings and related scripture. The group supports the church as needed in other activities such as raising funds, sponsoring mission trips, field trips to strengthen faith, and other community needs.

When do they meet/serve?

Meetings are every Saturday at 7:00am to 8:30am in the general purpose room. You are welcome to participate when you can (weekly attendance is not mandatory).

Who is invited to participate?

All adult men who are seeking to expand and grow in their faith and seek a better understanding of scripture in a very informal setting. If you are interested, contact Lupe Alvarez at eldirector@yahoo.com or 630-674-7690.

What volunteer opportunities are there?

We support many other church ministries as needed. Some specific to this group include Samaritan Network, Mission Trips, Hesed House, and more.

What is the time commitment?

As much or as little as one wants to participate. It is recommended that a member attends the 1 ½ hour weekly meetings.

What skills are required?

No special skills required other than a heartfelt need to serve members of our Parish and community.

Is any training required? If so, what does that look like?

No training required but certain skills may be needed based upon the volunteer event.
